I have lots of lovely blogger friends but today I want to profess my love for the 3 friends I miss most back in the UK. They are Catherine, Jade and Lisa.
I have known Catherine and Jade for about 8 years and Lisa for 3 years. We worked together in the same department back in Nottingham.
Catherine is the sensible, fashionable one, married with two lovely boys. She is off work on maternity leave at the moment after giving birth to little Jack in March. We are very similar which is why we are such good friends. We have seen each other through tough times and she is great for a moan! At one point she was my boss, then I was her boss...but we still stayed friends throughout. Here she is looking lovely with her cat headband on my hen night:
Jade is the gorgeous, fun loving one. All the boys love Jade! She has been with her boyfriend for about 5 years now and they have created a fashion app called ‘Styleglider’. Check out the website here! You can follow her on Pinterest and Twitter too (and me of course). She came with me to the bridal shop when I was choosing a dress, I needed her honesty! Here she is enjoying herself on my hen night:

Lisa is such a lovely person, everyone loves Lisa. She is funny and generous. She goes out of her way if you need anything and she works way too hard sometimes. She makes me laugh (and cry) with her daft thoughts and sillyness.
It’s about time she settled down with a nice man (her current boyfriend is a loser – I’m allowed to say that!). I want to see her with someone who will treat her nicely and like a princess. Before I left the UK, we kept getting a bit upset at times and she kept joking that I could get her in my suitcase (she is tiny so I probably could have).
She made me this really thoughtful present as a leaving gift to bring to California with me.
I love the following photos taken of me with Lisa and Jade:
I hope I manage to keep in touch with these three beautiful girls whilst we are at opposite ends of the world and that we stay friends forever.
that was a nice tribute to your friends, thankfully with all the technology it is much easier keeping in contact these days. still nothing beats seeing them in person tho
ReplyDeleteWe've been doing quite well with e-mail, facebook and even snail mail. I love writing old fashioned letters. Hopefully i'm going to get back to the UK in July for a quick visit.
DeleteWhat a great post for your friends. I'm sure it made their day. :) And isn't the internet amazing?? I mean, imagine moving away from home without it. Snail mail and phones? I'd have kept a LOT fewer friends sadly.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I have a love/hate relationship with facebook, it is great for keeping in touch. I quite like a bit of snail mail...the personal touch!
DeleteCute pictures.
ReplyDeleteThanks Susie!
DeleteThis is so nice. The photos are beautiful! I agree with the above, thank god for technology these days. You can keep in contact with anybody :)
ReplyDeleteHi Lola, yes technology is awesome...Skype is the best!
DeleteAs usual, this is a super-cute post! Those photos are about the cutest I've ever seen. I love how you popped them into those little "frames." :)
ReplyDeleteKristen's latest #BlogEveryDayInMay post: A to Z 2013 Reflections and Everyday in May: I Love My Fellow Bloggers!
Thanks Kristen, you are super-cute! appreciate you mentioning me on your site too. I've been playing on Instagram again :)
DeleteA touching post for your friends. Your hen party looks like it was probably quite the time!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jill! It was meant to be a quiet night, I don't like much attention so I agreed to cat headbands, a nice meal, a few drinks. I was out till 4am with my mother in law to be!
DeleteYour friends sound brilliant, nothing like a good group of girlfriends is there, you must really miss them....
