The song True Blue by Madonna brings back so many memories for me....dancing round the bedroom, making up routines with my sister. I love it! The lyrics are so easy to remember too.

The song was on her third studio album of the same name, released in 1986...wow 27 years ago, I feel very old now. I would say it's my favourite Madonna album, probably because of the memories it holds. (I'm not that crazy about her music in the last decade or so).
What's your favourite Madonna song?
I agree her old stuff is way better than her new stuff. This is probably generic but Material Girl is my fav :) out of curiosity what inspired you to do music titles? Its an awesome idea xoxo
ReplyDeleteMaterial girl is a great choice! I decided on this challenge after doing the jar of hearts illustration the other week and realising it was a song title. I figured I had quite a lot of choice creatively with song titles x
DeleteI used to walk to the Like A Prayer cassette in the early 1990s.
ReplyDeleteI love that song, I think I did it at karaoke one tim...never again!
DeleteI remember my mum having Madonna's 'best of' cassette tape and we would listen to it in the car all the time - it was all her early stuff, none of this crappy 'Frozen' or 'American Pie'. I didn't think I knew 'True Blue' but listening to it, I DO!! xx
ReplyDeleteI miss cassette tapes and mixing them myself.....I feel old now! Im not a fan of either of those songs x
DeleteI remember sitting in my bedroom with my cassette player, scrambling down the words to Like A Prayer. I'd stop the tape, write a line down, then start it again. I did this over and over until I was sure I had every word right. Good memories. I don't care for her new stuff either - it's just not the same.
ReplyDeleteOh I did that too, to so many songs x
Deletethat is such a lovely graphic, really vibrant blue tones. In work we would at random times start singing "Why does time go, by so slowly..."
ReplyDeleteA sing song at work sounds funny, very glee x
